Genuine Vitra Eames Soft Pad high-back swivel chair upholstered in red fabric, with open arms and a black four-star base on glides. Designed by Charles and Ray Eames, the Soft Pad Group dates from 1969 and is recognised for its slim structural frame and distinctive horizontal cushions.
Exact configuration shown
- Genuine Vitra Eames Soft Pad chair
- High-back conference or executive configuration
- Red woven fabric upholstery
- Three separate horizontal back cushions
- Padded seat cushion
- Open black arm frames
- Swivel and seat-height adjustment
- Black four-star base with fixed glides
- No castors fitted
- Charles Eames signature marking visible on the base column
Why this configuration stands out
Most Soft Pad chairs are encountered in leather, so the red fabric gives this example a warmer, less formal character while retaining the recognisable Eames profile. The fixed-glide base makes it particularly suited to a boardroom, executive desk, meeting area or design-led home workspace where rolling castors are not required.
Professionally prepared pre-owned condition
This is a pre-owned designer chair that has been inspected, cleaned and function-checked. Light marks, fabric wear or cosmetic signs consistent with previous use may remain. The photographs show the exact chair, including its upholstery, base, glides and signature marking. No original manufacturer warranty is included.
UK delivery
This listing is for one chair. Mainland UK delivery is available. Contact us before ordering if access is restricted, stairs are involved or you need a specific delivery arrangement.
