About Filing Cabinets
Types of Filing Cabinet
Filing cabinets come in two main orientations – vertical (the standard tall, narrow upright) and lateral (wider, lower units that accommodate foolscap or A4 files side-on). We stock both types, with 2-drawer and 3-drawer options in each format.
Our Filing Cabinet Stock
2-Drawer Filing Cabinets
The most space-efficient option for smaller offices, spare rooms, or under-desk use. Standard 2-drawer vertical cabinets accept both A4 and foolscap suspension files.
3-Drawer Filing Cabinets
Ideal for heavier document workloads. A 3-drawer unit in a standard office is often sufficient for one user’s entire active file archive.
Lockable Metal Cabinets
All our metal filing cabinets are lockable. Keys are provided with each unit. If keys are not available, we clearly note this in the listing and price accordingly. Cabinets used for confidential materials – HR files, legal documents, financial records – should always be locked when unattended.
Lock & Key Information
Our filing cabinets come with keys wherever available. Replacement keys can be cut by a locksmith using the barrel number stamped on the lock face.
